Number of Saudi universities listed in the Times Higher Education jumps to 21

RIYADH — The number of Saudi universities in the Times Classification of Specializations increased to 21 Saudi universities, compared to 6 universities in 2019, per the latest edition of the ranking for the year 2023.

Saudi universities are distinguished in 10 major disciplines out of the 11 majors in which international universities are ranked.

The Kingdom’s universities obtained several distinguished positions, including 47th globally in physical sciences, 56th globally in computer science, and 57th globally in engineering.

The clinical and health majors ranked the highest in 19 Saudi universities, while 18 Saudi universities ranked highest in engineering and physical sciences.

These achievements confirm the unlimited support of the Saudi leadership and the efforts exerted, in pursuit of realizing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and positioning the Kingdom as a leader in fields such as human health, energy, industry, and others. — SPA
