KSA embassy in Philippines warns citizens over Typhoon Paeng

MANILA — Saudi Arabia's embassy in the Philippines has warned Saudi citizens over Typhoon Paeng that hit many cities in the south of the country.

The typhoon included Luzon island and the capital of the Philippines, Manila. The embassy called on all citizens in those areas to take care and precautions.

It also called on citizens to follow the instructions issued by the Philippine authorities regarding the typhoon, calling on them to communicate with the following numbers in the event of any emergency:

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), about 72 people were killed as a result of floods and landslides caused by torrential rains.

NDRRMC report stated that: At 3:00 a.m., the center of Severe Tropical Storm Paeng was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Garchitorena, Camarines Sur (13.9°N, 123.6°E) with maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 160 km/h.
