SYDNEY — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef met with the Australian Assistant Minister of Industry for Manufacturing Timothy Ayres here on Saturday.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Eng. Khalid Bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, CEO of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program Eng. Suliman Almazroua and the CEO of the National Center for Industrial Development Dr. AbdulRahman Al-Qirtas were also present.
During the meeting, Al-Khorayef discussed ways of cooperation between the Kingdom and Australia to enhance joint economic, commercial, and investment cooperation, especially in the industrial and mining sectors and the opportunities provided by the two sectors, and benefiting from the Australian experiences in the mining sector
The minister, in addition, highlighted the ministry’s main initiatives to develop the industrial sector, which is one of the most important factors to achieve the objectives of the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030” and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, which aims to transform the Kingdom into a leading industrial power and a global logistics hub.
The Saudi delegation’s visit to Australia also includes participating in the International Mining and Resources Conference + EXPO (IMARC) held in Sydney recently. — SPA
