Mawhiba to organize global event for giftedness & creativity

RIYADH — Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and on his behalf, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and governor of Makkah Region, will attend the 2nd Global Conference for Giftedness and Creativity.

The event is being organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), from Dec. 10 to 14, 2022 in Jeddah, under the title "Journey Towards the New Future".

Secretary-General of "Mawhiba", Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa, said the conference, in its second edition, aims to enhance the Kingdom's global leadership in developing talented and creative young capabilities and to form new future horizons.

She added that the conference includes an Ideathon, in which more than a 100 talented men and women from 30 countries worldwide will participate. The talented participants were chosen based on their scientific and technical achievements, and their affiliation with the best universities in the world.

During the Ideathon, the participants will apply the principles of collective thinking to build a global platform, to enable talented people from all over the world to use collective intelligence, provide innovative solutions to the world's challenges, and create a new future.

She stressed that Mawhiba would continue to support all possible means that can improve the future of human life and sustainable development.

Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan will open the conference, which will witness the participation of many world experts in talent accelerators and collective intelligence.

In addition, experts and leaders representing leading companies and universities, including SABIC, Aramco, NEOM, King Abdullah University, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and others will take part.

The conference will address several axes including providing a global platform for the talented, and enhancing opportunities for their contribution to human prosperity and sustainable development, in addition to collective intelligence and its role in the new future, and scopes of empowering talents.

The conference will also discuss an unusual journey of science and discoveries, and present a modern methodology for driving innovation through the global talent platform.
