RIYADH — Minister of Finance Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan inaugurated in Riyadh Monday the 3rd Saudi-Swiss Financial Dialogue.
In an opening address, Al-Jadaan welcomed the visit of Switzerland Minister of Finance Ueli Maurer and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom.
He also pointed to the more-than-six-decade distinguished historic relations between the two friendly countries.
He reviewed the fields of cooperation, citing the promising sectors including financial technology.
He drew the attention to the challenges facing the global economy, underscoring the importance of providing appropriate green finance, citing the role the Swiss Federation can play in its capacity as host of leading world finance institutions.
For his part, the Swiss Minister of Finance lauded the firmness of the Saudi economy, and underscored the importance of the Saudi Swiss dialogue in terms of boosting economic activities between the two countries.
He asserted that the dialogue enhances the role of Switzerland in its capacity as a strategic partner of Saudi Arabia in its drive to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030.
Then, the two ministers signed a good will declaration document citing the enhancement of cooperation in a number of areas related to the financial sector including banking services, financial technology, sustainable finance and insurance. — SPA
