Saudi Arabia, Barbados sign MoU in the field of air transportation services

RIYADH — Minister of Transportation and Logistics Services Eng. Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Jasser, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Barbados's Minister of Tourism and Transport Ian Gooding-Edghill signed here Tuesday a memorandum of understanding.

The deal to set up the operational framework for air travel and a draft agreement in the field of air transport services between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Barbados was signed on the sidelines of the 22nd World Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which is taking place in Riyadh.

The MoU includes a number of operational items related to air transport, including the multiplicity of designating national carriers, determining the number of regular flights between the two sides, and the points that are operated between the two countries.

The accord also includes bilateral cooperation between the two sides based on mutual benefit and mutual respect in accordance with the regulations, laws, and instructions in effect in both countries. — SPA
