Ministry of Culture signs MoU to support Saudi pop music

RIYADH — The Ministry of Culture has signed a memorandum of understanding with global companies to develop the Saudi pop music, host musical events, produce musical content and train Saudi talents.

The signing ceremony was held at the ministry headquarters in JAX District in Ad Diriyah, where the ministry was represented by Acting CEO of the Music Commission Sultan Al-Bazie.

The MoU included considering the production of Saudi pop music and building up a music ecosystem, as well as agreeing on promotions for the development of Saudi Pop content (S Pop) through a Saudi and Korean creative team composed of writers and producers.

The MoU also included considering the establishment of enabling entities for direction and training and producing Saudi pop music. — SPA
