RIYADH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expects that the northern, northeastern and central parts of Saudi Arabia will witness a significant decrease in temperatures.
It also stated that moderate to heavy rains and thunderstorms accompanied by hails and active winds leading to torrential rains will remain in the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, as well as it could extend to the heights of Makkah.
NCM noted that the northern parts of the Eastern Region may witness a sporadic rain, while the formation of fog during the night and early morning is expected on parts of the regions of Al-Jouf, Hail, Al-Qassim, Northern Borders and northeastern region.
Regarding wind movement, NCM said that the movement of surface winds over the Red Sea is northeasterly to northwesterly at a speed of 20-40 km/h over the northern part.
It is blowing at a speed of 15-30 km/h in the central part, and southwesterly to westerly at a speed of 15-35 km/h up to 45 km/h, NCM said, indicating that it will be with thunderclouds and rain.
