EMPTYQUARTER/HADITHA — Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced that it had thwarted 2 attempts to smuggle more than 2,9 million captagon pills after finding them hidden inside a consignment that came to Saudi Arabia.

ZATCA revealed that they have thwarted 2,920,000 captagon pills in the first attempt, after receiving a consignment in the Empty Quarter port, with the pills being hidden as an electric cables consignment.

While in the second attempt, ZATCA said that they have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 24,400 captagon pills hidden inside the spindle of one of the trucks coming through the Haditha port.

It has confirmed that they have successfully arrested the one who receiving the captagon pills inside Saudi Arabia, after completing the seizing operations, with and in cooperation with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control.

ZATCA stressed that it will continue to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports,

It has also called on everyone to communicate with it to report any information related to smuggling crimes through the Security Reports Center (1910) or via e-mail: 1910@zatca.gov.sa and the international number (00966114208417).

The center receives security reports in complete secrecy, with a financial reward given to those who report if the reporting information is correct.
