RIYADH — Hussain Al-Qahtani, spokesman of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has confirmed that there are no projects or any programs concerned with dissipating clouds in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Qahtani said that Saudi Arabia only has a program to increase cloud seeding with the aim of increasing precipitation, indicating that the Kingdom is a semi-desert country and needs water at any time.

What is said and published about dispersing clouds in Saudi Arabia is a rumor that is always repeated during the rainy seasons, and it is untrue information, Al-Qahtani pointed out.

He noted that Saudi Arabia is in need of each of the rain drop, and it needs water reserves.
