RIYADH — The Health Ministry has announced that people are now able to book an appointment via Sehhaty app to get the updated dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The MoH clarified that those who have spent 3 months from the previous dose are now able to receive the updated dose, in order to strengthen the level of completion of immunization that the person has reached.

The dose carries out important updates against the new mutants which are available now in some countries.

The MoH said that this step comes with the aim of preserving the health and safety of elders who are eligible to get the vaccine, and to protect them from the complications of the virus infection.

It is noteworthy that the updated dose of COVID-19 vaccine is called the (Double Dose) due to the fact that it gives protection from severe disease from the original virus strain in addition to the Omicron mutants.
