DAVOS – Busier than any year before, Saudi officials are expected to participate in nearly ten different sessions at the Davos 2023 World Economic Forum.

The forum started on Monday and will run until Jan. 20, under the theme “Cooperation in a Fragmented World”.

Saudi Arabia has sent a high-level delegation to strengthen international cooperation and offer more solutions to overcome geopolitical, economic, development and social challenges.

The Saudi delegation is expected to shed light on the progress made within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, as well as the transformation and development aimed at achieving a prosperous and diversified economy.

Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, foreign minister and head of the delegation, will participate in “Keeping the Lights on Amid Geopolitical Fracture” session on Tuesday.

Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan will join financial experts in “Financial Institutions: Innovating under Pressure” session on Tuesday.

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef will discuss how manufacturing will look like by 2030 and what role will it play on Tuesday in “The Return of Manufacturing” session.

On Wednesday, Prince Faisal will be back on stage with ministers from Netherlands, Iraq and Jordan in a session called “The Middle East: Meeting Point or Battleground?”

One of the fully Saudi-focused sessions, ministers will debate how Saudi Arabia is navigating complex global context.

Dynamics related to energy security, geopolitical competition, trade and supply chain fragmentation are at the heart of global discussions to address the ensuing near-term implications while resolving the systemic issues at their core.

Al-Jadaan, Saudi ambassador to the US Princess Reema Bint Bandar, Alkhorayef and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha will speak on Wednesday in “Saudi Arabia’s Transformation in a Changing Global Context” session.

The session will talk about dynamics related to energy security, geopolitical competition, trade and supply chain fragmentation.

On Thursday, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim will participate at “Is Global Tax Reform Stalling?” session. He will join also “Between Liquidity and Fragility: Reforming in MENA” session later on the same day.

Minister Al-Swaha will speak on Thursday at the “Deployment in the Industrial Metaverse”.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir will join “Open Forum: The Evolution of Urban Life” on Thursday.

Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih will participate on Thursday at a session called “Reshuffling Value Chains”.
