RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the West Bank city of Jenin and its refugee camp, which left several people dead and many others wounded.

In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the Kingdom's total rejection of serious violations in Palestine in disregard for international law by the Israeli occupation forces.

Saudi Arabia reiterated its call for the international community to assume its responsibilities to end the occupation, stop the escalation of Israeli aggressions, and provide the necessary protection to the civilian population in Palestine.

The Kingdom also expressed its sincere condolences to the victims' families, the Palestinian people and government, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

At least nine Palestinians have been killed in the deadliest Israeli military raid in years in the occupied West Bank. An elderly woman was among the dead in Jenin.
