RIYADH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said that it is expected that most regions of Saudi Arabia will be witnessing weather fluctuations from Monday until next Friday.
From Monday to Sunday, the regions of Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, Alh-Sharqiyah, in addition to parts of Makkah and Madinah, will be witnessing activity in dusty surface winds, which may lead to sandstorms lack of or almost zero visibility, as well as a high sea waves.
While moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected to occur from Monday to Wednesday on the regions of Tabuk, Northern Borders and Al-Jouf — and from Thursday to Wednesday on the regions of Hail, Al-Qassim, Al-Sharqiyah and Madinah. This will be accompanied with hail, torrential rain.
NCM said that the regions of Riyadh, including the capital, Al-Sharqiya, including Al-Khobar and Dammam, Dhahran and Al-Ahsaa, Makkah, including Jeddah, Taif and Rabigh would be witnessing light to moderate thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Wednesday, low temperatures will be witnessed with a possibility of frost formation from zero to 4 degrees Celsius in Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, and north of Madinah.
While from Thursday, Riyadh, Al-Qassim and north of Al-Sharqiyah will be witnessing low temperatures with a possibility of frost formation from 4 to 7 degrees Celsius.
NCM said that snow would fall on the highlands of the Tabuk region (Jabal Al-Lawz, Alaqan and Al-Dhahr) on Wednesday and Thursday.
