AL-QURAYYAT — A father and his six children, including four sons and two daughters, had a tragic end in a fire that swept through their house, while their mother is in critical condition. The horrific accident occurred in Tasheelat neighborhood of Al-Qurayyat Governorate in the Al-Jouf region early morning on Tuesday.

According to reports, the operations room of the Civil Defense Directorate in Al-Qurayyat had received information about the fire at around 4:00 am on Tuesday. The Civil Defense teams, who rushed to the scene, found three of the children died at the scene while the father and three children, who sustained serious burn injuries and suffocation, died after being taken to the Al-Qurayyat General Hospital. The mother is in critical condition in the hospital.

According to the preliminary reports, the fire broke out from a gas heater at the children’s bedroom, where three children were found dead. Investigations are still ongoing to find out all the details related to the accident.
