SPDRY reopens Ayaft Road in Socotra

SOCOTRA — The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SPDRY) reopened the recently damaged “Ayaft” road in Socotra Governorate using heavy equipment in coordination with the local authority in Socotra.

The progress of the work was followed by the Governor of Socotra Governorate Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, the Executive Operations Coordinator in the SPDRY Office in Socotra Sami Al-Harbi, and a number of officials.

The people of the villages of the Ayaft region valued the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the SPDRY in Socotra Governorate in improving daily life through its development projects and initiatives.

It is noteworthy that the SPDRY presented 224 development projects and initiatives implemented in various Yemeni governorates to serve the Yemeni people.

The projects were in education, health, energy, water, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, as well as building of government institutions capacity. — SPA
