RIYADH — The great passion Hiroshi Ishiguro, from Japan, for robotics has started decades ago.

Hiroshi Ishiguro is participating as a speaker in the LEAP Conference, during which he tells his story in the robotics world and the pioneering status he achieved to himself among the top leaders in the industry.

Hiroshi is considered one of the distinguished inventors in the programming industry which helped him design a number of robots that amazed the entire world and opened for his great horizons to excel in technology.

One of Hiroshi’s top inventions and designs is the “Geminoid” robot and his robot twin, which, he said, helps him discover himself and his deep secrets. Hiroshi has strong belief that robots will one day have feelings like us humans and passions.

With determination to turn passion into tangible reality, he also designed the robot ERICA which looks like humans and has a very advanced artificial intelligence system capable of revealing feelings of welcome, care and also speech.

Hiroshi said he has ambition that ERICA could one day acquire a realization awareness, that can add to its already existing skills, including reading news.

In 2014, the Japanese designer amazed the world when a Japanese museum displayed the Kodomoroid Otonaroid Robot, which was capable of broadcasting news in a way similar to reality.

In 2015, the world watched the robot TV presenter, introduced by Microsoft, reading the news on a Chinese channel.

Hiroshi’s sharing of his interesting story with the participants in the LEAP Tech Conference is indeed a great addition to the global event and its content. — SPA
