JEDDAH — A number of people sustained injuries as a car fell down from a bridge and caught fire outside the Haramain Railway track in Jeddah.

The Haramain High-Speed Train said in a statement that the accident occurred at the intersection of Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz Road (Tahlia) in the Jeddah governorate at around 2.00 a.m. on Wednesday.

There were no deaths reported and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

The accident did not affect the movement of trains and the schedule of train trips, the statement said, adding that an assessment of the damage was completed and the repair work has begun.
