BRUSSELS — Minister of Foreign Affairs,Prince Faisal bin Farhan met Thursday with the human rights activist, Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and 2018 Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad, on the sidelines of his official visit to the European Union in Brussels.

During the meeting, they discussed the important role played by Nadia Murad in exposing the crimes of the terrorist organization Daesh (so-called IS) in terms of human rights violations in several countries. The minister of foreign affairs praised her activities and qualitative initiatives in raising awareness of human rights.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the European Union Saad Al-Arifi and the Director General of the Minister of Foreign Affairs office Abdulrahman Al-Dawood. — SPA
