Second phase of project to train Arabic language teachers for non-speakers launched

RIYADH — King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language has launched the second phase of a project to train Arabic language teachers for non-speakers.

The project aims to develop the skills of Arabic teachers for non-speakers, enabling them to teach Arabic according to scientific standards, and serving the Arabic language globally through courses delivered by a group of distinguished experts in teaching the Arabic language.

The project is to be implemented in cooperation with specialized universities, institutes and institutions.

The first course of the second phase was launched in the Kazakh capital Almaty, entitled "Training teachers of Arabic for non-speakers," in cooperation with The Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages.

The course lasted on Feb. 20-23, 2023, for a duration of 6 hours per day.

The project's second phase includes 18 courses inside the Kingdom and 39 external courses that will be held in person.

The second phase is an extension of the success of the first phase, during which five training courses were held in Saudi Arabia, with 96 beneficiaries. In comparison, 30 external courses were held in 26 countries, benefiting 809 people. — SPA
