TOKYO — Saudi Arabia's embassy in Japan said that no Saudis were injured in the Hokkaido earthquake, confirming that all of them are safe

The region, which is located in northern Japan, has witnessed on Saturday an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale.

The embassy said that it is following up the aftermath of the earthquake that occurred in Hokkaido.

It has warned citizens of the importance of adhering to the instructions of the local authorities related to disasters.

It is worth mentioning that the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred in Hokkaido island in northern Japan on Saturday.

According to the agencies, no tsunami warning was issued following the offshore quake, which shook the coastal cities of Kushiro and Nemuro.

There were also no immediate reports of injuries or serious property damage.
