RIYADH — Minister of Justice Dr. Walid Al-Samaani unveiled the ministry’s plans to build partnerships and interaction with various countries of the world in the judicial and legal fields, as well as in the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette on the sidelines of the International Conference on Justice, which concluded in Riyadh on Monday, he said that the ministry is considering the implementation of projects and legal legislation suitable for digital transformation in the future.

Al-Samaani said that the ministry is using many technologies in simplifying and advancing the judicial process, including artificial intelligence applications. “The ministry has a complete digital transformation, starting with the outputs of judicial documentation, passing through the judicial process, and ending with the execution level in addition to the presence of digital integration and linkage with all government agencies related to judicial work,” he said.

The minister indicated that the organization of the conference comes to confirm the leadership role that the Kingdom has reached in the justice sector, and also as a window on future developments.

Regarding the ministry’s future vision, Al-Samaani said that it is inspired by the Kingdom's Vision 2030, launched by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, which seeks development in all fields, including the judicial field. “We will see new projects, programs, and initiatives in the ministry every year,” he added.
