Winners of Okaz Award for Most Outstanding CEOs honored

JEDDAH — Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, graced the ceremony to honor winners of the Okaz Award for the Most Outstanding CEOs in Saudi Arabia for the year 2022.

The ceremony to distribute the award instituted by Okaz Organization for Press and Publication was held at Jeddah Hilton Tuesday evening. Several senior officials in the government and private sectors and business leaders attended the event.

At the outset of the ceremony, Jameel Altheyabi, editor-in-chief of Okaz newspaper and general supervisor of Saudi Gazette, delivered a speech in which he expressed deep gratitude and profound thanks to Prince Khaled Al-Faisal for patronizing the event. He underscored the utmost keenness shown by the emir on honoring the most influential and pioneering Saudis in the financial and business sectors, as well as in the community service and social responsibility fields.

Altheyabi emphasized that Okaz Organization’s interest in the most distinguished national cadres stems from its responsibility to highlight their remarkable roles, great efforts and achievements made for the country. He wished them further progress, development and brilliant achievements. “The winners of the award have been chosen with utmost precision and diligence and in accordance with the highest international standards,” he added.

For his part, CEO of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia for Development and Training Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh highlighted the great efforts and continuous support of the Prince of Creativity Khaled Al-Faisal, saying the award is a mandate and a trust placed on the shoulders of the achievers to live up to this responsibility.

Following the speeches, the CEOs who won the award were honored. They included BAE Systems' Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh; CEO of Almarai Company Abdullah Nasser Al-Bader; CEO of Zain Saudi Arabia Eng. Sultan Al-Deghaither; CEO of Riyad Bank Tariq Al-Sadhan, and CEO of Hunger Station Assad Numan.

The honored business leaders also included Digitect CEO Yousef Sharbatly; CEO of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital Dr. Mazen Fakeeh; CEO of Bupa Arabia Tal Hisham Nazer; CEO of Sumou Real Estate Co. Jarallah Muhammad Al-Amrah; CEO of Al-Borg Medical Laboratories Dr. Saeed Alamoudi, and CEO of the Jeddah Al-Birr Society Eng. Mohiyuddin Yahya Hakami.

The ceremony also witnessed the honoring of a number of influential and prominent personalities in recognition of their outstanding humanitarian and societal roles and efforts. They included President of the Saudi Environmental Society Dr. Magda Abu Ras; Managing Director of the Help Center Dr. Maha Al-Juffali, and Co-Founder and Partner of TRACCS Sarah Ayed Al-Ayed.

Members of the jury were also honored with prizes on the occasion.
