RIYADH — There has been a decrease of 2.8 percent, amounting to SR3 billion, in the value of Saudi Arabia’s merchandise exports during January 2023. The total value of exports during the month was SR105.1 billion, compared to SR108.1 billion in January 2022.
However, the value of the Kingdom’s merchandise imports recorded an increase of 26.9 percent, amounting to SR14.1 billion, during January 2023 reaching SR66.6 billion, compared to SR52.5 billion during January 2022.
This was contained in a report of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT). The authority issued the Kingdom’s International Trade Bulletin for the month of January of 2023 on its official website.
According to the bulletin, the value of petroleum exports January this year amounted to SR82.1 billion, compared to SR83.5 billion in January 2022, while the value of non-oil exports, which includes re-exports, this January accounted for SR23 billion against SR24.6 billion in January 2022.
