RIYADH —
The Ministry of Commerce has called on electronic stores to start documenting their stores through the Business platform instead of the Maroof platform.

The ministry said the decision to register e-stores through the Business platform, which is affiliated to the Saudi Business Center (SBC), comes in integration with the E-Commerce Council, as a result of developing the documentation procedures.

Additionally, it announced the requirement of a commercial bank account for the store in order to strengthen the reliability of its financial transactions and to avoid possible fraud.

The ministry stated that the registration procedures are very simple and can be carried out online via https://business.sa/.

Those who wish to document their stores are required to have a commercial register, or a valid freelance certificate, as well as an active bank account.
