RIYADH — A Saudi man who intentionally hit a number of vehicles with his car and tried to escape after firing in the air was arrested here, Riyadh police said on Friday.

Two people sustained injuries and seven vehicles damaged in the incident that occurred on a street with several car showrooms in the south of Riyadh.

The spokesman for Riyadh police said security patrol teams rushed to the area after a video being circulated on social media about the unruly acts of the car driver and his accomplice came into their notice.

The patrol teams arrested the man, who was found in an abnormal condition. The man was referred to the Public Prosecution while the security authorities launched a massive manhunt to arrest his accomplice.
