RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has ranked second globally in societal awareness of artificial intelligence.
An opinion poll conducted by the Artificial Intelligence Index Report, in its sixth edition (Artificial Intelligence Index Report 2023) issued by the University of Stanford USA this month, has revealed a high rate of confidence among Saudi citizens in dealing with artificial intelligence products and services in the Kingdom.
This report serves as a comprehensive source for policymakers, researchers, and industry professionals to better understand the current situation of artificial intelligence and future trends.
The report indicated that the Kingdom ranked second internationally after China in terms of positivity and optimism among citizens toward artificial intelligence products and services provided during the current and future phases.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman said in his speech during the G20 Summit 2019 in Osaka: "We live in a time of scientific innovations, unprecedented technologies, and unlimited growth prospects. If used optimally, new technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things can avoid many harms and bring the world many huge benefits".
