JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has directed the extension of the Citizen Account Program in its current mechanism, along with the provision of temporary additional support to its beneficiaries for four more months until the batch of July 2023.

This decision was made based on the recommendation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, and is part of the government's ongoing efforts to support eligible families and shield them from the impact of global price hikes.

This latest directive is a continuation of previous directives issued by the King, including the allocation of SR20 billion, with SR8 billion as additional financial support for the beneficiaries of the Citizen Account Program at the end of the fiscal year 2022.

Registration for the program was also re-opened based on the previously announced regulations.

Furthermore, in January 2023, the King issued another directive to extend the additional support for the first quarter of the current fiscal year by three months, until March. — SPA
