JEDDAH — Zerekshk, an Iranian luxury restaurant, was formally opened Tuesday in Al-Rawda District, Jeddah, with many artists, businessmen and public figures, among the 250 guests who attended the lavish event.
The affair included a display of a wide array of luxury cars, in lieu of decoration, as the restaurant targets the high-class clients.
The restaurant doesn’t employ Iranian cooks, but instead, international caliber cooks who are well-experienced in making Iranian cuisines, as they all have the experience in "Sultani", an Iranian restaurant established 18 years ago that belongs to the same company that owns and operates Zerekshk.
Bandar Kaki, president of Al-Sharafa Company Ltd. which owns the Zerekshk, told the Saudi Gazette that the restaurant is classified as a five-star fine dining abode, and is the only restaurant in Saudi Arabia in that category.
"We traveled to places like Dubai to get the experience of the fine dining restaurants and apply it in Saudi Arabia," he added, noting that Zerekshk introduces special-made main courses.
Kaki also disclosed plans to open branches in Riyadh, saying that "within three years, the restaurant will set foot in Dubai."
Al-Sharafa Company is a subsidiary of Al-Kaki Group.
