MAKKAH — Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh directed to hold Eid Al-Fitr prayer in the prepared mosques in the central area around the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

The move comes due to the high numbers of pilgrims and visitors currently in Makkah.

The Ministry said that the number of mosques that serve visitors and pilgrims during Eid has reached 562 mosques in Makkah.

The last ten days of Ramadan witness the arrival of millions of pilgrims and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.

The 27th night of Ramadan witnessed more than 2.6 million pilgrims and worshipers, which is an unprecedented number.
