Saudi, French FMs stress importance of stopping military escalation in Sudan

RIYADH — Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan received on Wednesday a phone call from his French counterpart Catherine Colonna.

During the phone call, the two sides discussed the current situation in Sudan.

They stressed the importance of stopping the military escalation between the conflicting parties, and to stop the violence there.

Prince Faisal and Colonna agreed on the importance of providing the Sudanese civilians and those residing in the country with the necessary protection in a way that ensures the security, stability and well-being of Sudan and its people.

Both the foreign ministers also reviewed the solid relations between Saudi Arabia and France, and the ways to strengthen and develop them in several fields.

Prince Faisal and Colonna have also discussed aspects of intensifying joint coordination towards several issues of common concern.
