Crown Prince, Putin discuss Saudi-Russian bilateral relations and OPEC+ agreement

Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and BRICS also considered

RIYADH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman made a phone call on Friday to Russia's President Vladimir Putin, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) announced.

During the call, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia, and the ways to develop them in various fields.

They, in addition, exchanged point of views regarding several topics with common interest.

Russia's president also congratulated the Crown Prince during the phone call on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

According to the statement issued by the Kremlin, it stated that the both sides have expressed satisfaction with the level of coordination at OPEC Plus aimed at ensuring the global oil market stability.

Moreover, the Crown Prince and the Russian president also discussed during the call the prospects for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and BRICS.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia announced earlier that it will implement a voluntary cut of 500,000 barrels per day from May till the end of 2023, which comes in coordination with some other OPEC and non-OPEC participating countries in the Declaration of Cooperation.
