Saudi Arabia to ensure safe evacuation of foreigners from Sudan: FM

RIYADH — Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan said on Tuesday the Kingdom will continue to offer assistance to ensure the safe evacuation of foreign nationals from Sudan to their destinations.

The Saudi minister remarks comes after Saudi Arabia has evacuated from Sudan nearly 356 people belonging to 27 nationalities, including diplomats and international officials.

Prince Faisal confirmed that “the Kingdom is actively engaged with our brothers in Sudan to ensure safe and secure passages with the aim of facilitating the evacuations.”

“Under the directives of the Kingdoms leadership, 356 civilians were evacuated from Sudan, 101 Saudi nationals and 255 individuals of 26 nationalities, this has been made possible due to the tremendous efforts made by the Royal Saudi Navy and other branches of the armed Forces.”
