133 more evacuees arrive in Jeddah from Sudan through air and sea

RIYADH — A total of 133 people, Saudi citizens and other nationalities, arrived in Jeddah on Sunday after being evacuated from Sudan through air and sea. the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

The Ministry said that 45 Saudi citizens, in addition to 36 Pakistanis, had arrived in the morning at the King Abdullah Air Base in the Western sector following their evacuation via a transport plane of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).

Another 52 evacuees from Oman, Pakistan, US, and Nepal arrived in Jeddah in the afternoon on His Majesty the King's Ship "Al-Diriyah", the Ministry said.

It is noteworthy that the Royal Saudi Air Force has evacuated during the previous few days about 185 people of different nationalities.

They are South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Eritrea, UK, Australia, Sweden, France, Netherlands, Norway, US, Canada, Lebanon, Palestine, Somalia, Pakistan, Thailand, Philippines, Uganda, Chad, Tanzania, Benin, Indonesia, and Türkiye.

The total number of people who have been evacuated since the start of the evacuation operations from war-torn Sudan has reached about 5,197, of which 184 are Saudi citizens, and about 5,013 belong to 100 nationalities.

Saudi Arabia has been keen to provide all the main needs for the nationals of friendly countries, in preparation to facilitate their departure to their countries.

This effort has come in the implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, who issued directives to evacuate Saudi citizens and nationals of friendly countries from Sudan.
