RIYADH — Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki Al-Sheikh announced the decision to hold musical workshops at the Riyadh-based Merwas international studios.

He said that the initiative represents a major qualitative leap in developing and supporting the musical sector and talented Saudi young men and women who are keen to develop their diverse musical talents.

The workshops, which will be one of the most important initiatives of GEA in supporting the Saudi musical talent, will be held under the supervision of a group of Arab professional musicians.

Turki Al-Sheikh published, through his official account on Twitter, a brochure for the musical workshops that the GEA will organize in association with Merwas, the largest artistic and entertainment factory in the Arab world.

“This initiative is aimed at developing young Saudi talents in the musical field at the hands of professional specialists from among the most prominent music makers in the Arab world,” he said.

Al-Sheikh called on the talented young Saudis to accomplish their dream and develop their talent, through workshops for which registration will be opened and dates will be announced soon.

The GEA chief attached the music workshops booklet to his tweet that said: “In an important initiative of the General Entertainment Authority, sponsored by the Music Commission and Merwas Studios, in order to develop young Saudi talents in the musical field with the support of the most prominent music makers in the Arab world, I give you a glimpse of the workshop that the GEA will hold at Merwas Studios.

“The talented people and those with a serious desire to develop their talent will be enrolled to receive training at the hands of professional specialists in various branches of music, as well as in playing major musical instruments, orchestras and music bands, apart from sound engineering.

“Registration will be opened soon... God willing, the goal will be achieved and Saudi men and women will be benefited,” he said.
