RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's government is keen to provide humanitarian aid as well as a helping hand to all distressed people around the world including those in Sudan through its relief arm — the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) Majid Al-Ghanimi has stated.
Al-Ghanimi's confirmation came during his speech while participating on behalf of MHRSD's Minister Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi at an emergency session of the Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council, which was held on Monday to discuss the humanitarian and social situation in Sudan.
During the meeting, the Arab ministers expressed their deepest condolences to the families of the Sudanese victims, affirming at the same time their solidarity with the injured and affected people.
The Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council also affirmed their work to ensure that the Sudanese people are safely rid of the current conflict, as well as to provide safe and fast corridors that secure access to humanitarian aid.
The ministers expressed their hope to end the current difficult situation in Sudan and the return of life and social facilities to normal in a way that reflects positively on all the segments of Sudanese people.
