JEDDAH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) warned of weather fluctuations in most regions of the Kingdom from Friday until Tuesday. Moderate to heavy thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds, with a speed of more than 60 km/h, are expected causing dust and torrential rain and hail.
The regions of Asir, Al-Baha, Jizan, Najran and parts of the Makkah region will witness moderate to heavy thunderstorms, starting from Friday until Tuesday. While parts of the Riyadh and Eastern regions and most governorates in the Qassim region will witness light to moderate thunderstorms, from Sunday until Tuesday.
Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders and Tabuk, especially their eastern parts, will be affected by surface wind activity with a speed of more than 60 km / h, lifting dust with almost no horizontal visibility on Saturday and Sunday.
The center called on everyone to follow its media platforms to learn about expected weather developments and the governorates affected by the situation, while abiding by the instructions of the concerned authorities.
