RIYADH — The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced that all financial claims up to SR50,000 will first be referred to the conciliation center in order to promote amicable settlement in financial disputes.

“Through the initiative for implementing the conciliation system, the Ministry aims to make conciliation and mediation a desirable option for resolving disputes,” the MoJ said.

“The step works to reduce the influx of lawsuits and enhance conciliation as a quick alternative for the amicable settlement of disputes.”

Under Article 9 of the Enforcement Law, certified conciliation agreements are recognized as enforcement instruments that can be enforced without litigation. — SG
