JEDDAH — The administration of King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA), Jeddah called on passengers, including Umrah pilgrims and those traveling on board chartered flights to reach the airport at least four hours before their departure. This is in view of the unprecedented outflow of pilgrims and visitors after the holy month of Ramadan, which marked the peak annual Umrah season.
In a statement on its Twitter account, the KAIA administration urged the passengers to report no less than four hours and no more than six hours of the departure of their flights. “The passengers, with a valid travel ticket for their destination, would report without any delay so as to ensure the completion of their travel procedures on time. This directive comes out of the keenness of the KAIA administration to ensure the speedy completion of the travel procedures in view of the high frequency of the air traffic witnessed by the airport due to the continued return of the Umrah pilgrims to their countries,” the administration said in its tweets.
