HRC president discusses Saudi-Dutch cooperation

THE HAGUE —The President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) Hala Bint Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri discussed joint cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and The Netherlands during an official visit with an accompanying delegation.

She held talks with the Dutch Human Rights Ambassador Bahia Tahzib-Lie at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague, exploring the prospects of bilateral cooperation and expertise exchange in the field of human rights.

During the meeting, Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the significant progress Saudi Arabia has made in various fields, including human rights.

She underlined the commitment of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to achieve the highest levels of protection and adherence to human rights and provide decent living standards to people living in the Kingdom.

Al-Tuwaijri explained that the Kingdom is applying a distinguished mechanism in its development policy to protect human rights based on its societal and Islamic values, adding that human rights have been largely empowered and improved under the Saudi Vision 2030.

Al-Tuwaijri stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation among friendly countries to enhance efforts seeking the protection of human rights. She also held several meetings with other officials in The Hague that focused on bilateral cooperation and expertise exchange. — SPA
