Customs authority foils attempt to smuggle 68 kilograms of shabu in Jeddah airport

The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah foiled an attempt to smuggle 68 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (shabu) hidden into fabrics.

JEDDAH — The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah foiled an attempt to smuggle 68 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (shabu) hidden into fabrics.

The authority said that the fabrics filled with “shabu” substance were found in a parcel shipped into the Kingdom via express mail service.

In coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, the authority said that the recipient of the parcel has been arrested. — SPA
