JAZAN — Police in Dhamad, Jazan province, arrested a citizen with 114 kg of khat, which was hidden in the vehicle he was driving. He was arrested and referred to the public prosecution.

Khat is a flowering evergreen shrub that is abused for its stimulant-like effect. Khat has two active ingredients, cathine and cathinone.
