Bahrain King welcomes Arab leaders to hold next summit in Manama

JEDDAH — Bahraini King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifah invited Arab leaders to hold their next summit in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2024.

This came during King Hamadآ’s speech at the 32nd Arab Summit in Jeddah.

King Hamad welcomed the serious Arab endeavors that showed promising signs of establishing a renewed and balanced regional order, represented in the resumption of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, the continuation of the humanitarian truce in Yemen and the praiseworthy return of Syria to the Arab League.

Furthermore, King Hamad affirmed the necessity of stopping armed clashes in Sudan, restoring its security and stability, preserving its legitimate rights along with the rights of Egypt in the waters of the Nile.

King Hamad also affirmed the importance of working to complete the peace process to reach a just solution to the Palestinian issue, which is the two-state solution in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative, and in a way that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people. — SG
