No Saudis hurt in eastern Japan earthquake: Embassy confirms

TOKYO — Saudi Arabia's embassy in Japan said that it is following up the earthquake that hit eastern Japan, confirming the safety of all the Saudi citizens there.

The embassy has called the citizens to abide by the instructions issued by the local authorities related to disasters.

If any emergency occurs, the Saudi citizens must contact the Saudis Affairs through the following number: 09055833862.

According to NHK, A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, on Friday evening, at around 7:03 p.m., which is the second time this month.

The Japan's Meteorological Agency has stated that there is no threat of a tsunami, while estimating that the epicenter was off the eastern coast of Chiba, and the focus was at a depth of 50 kilometers.
