PORT SUDAN — A tenth Saudi relief plane arrived at Port Sudan International Airport on Tuesday, carrying 30 tons of foodstuffs and medical supplies.

The aid is part of the Saudi relief airlift, operated by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to help the Sudanese people, in the implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. The aid shipment is a reflection of the noble humanitarian role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to the benefit of all countries in need.

Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the agreement reached during the Jeddah talks by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to extend the ongoing ceasefire in Sudan for five days.

The Jeddah-based OIC secretariat-general expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for arriving at a permanent ceasefire and ending the armed conflict in Sudan. It commended the great efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia and the United States in having the two parties agree to extend the ceasefire. — SPA
