MAKKAH — Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Hajj Supreme Committee, inspected the readiness of the Hajj security forces in their task to ensure consistent security and safety for pilgrims in their Hajj journey.
This came during the minister's patronage of the annual ceremony of the Hajj security forces participating in this year's Hajj season.
The Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, Lieutenant-General Mohammad Al-Bassami, confirmed in a speech during the ceremony the full readiness of the Hajj security forces to implement the security plan to facilitate the performance of Hajj rituals and protect the pilgrims.
This aligns with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and under the direct supervision of the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Hajj Supreme Committee.
After coordination with the concerned authorities, the interior minister pointed out that Hajj security forces started carrying out their tasks in Makkah, the holy sites, Madinah, and all roads leading to the Hajj sites.
The distribution of security tasks is implemented within an integrated system, coordinated efforts, and elaborate harmony through comprehensive security, traffic, and organizational plans by the Hajj security forces, with the assistance of the military and government sectors.
The interior minister shed light on the care and generosity given to the pilgrims under the directives of the wise leadership, which harnessed all capabilities to serve the pilgrims and ensure their safety by using modern technology, artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and smart applications for their convenience.
The Hajj security forces showcased their preparedness through security mock drills that show their proficiency and security skills.
The ceremony was attended by Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Deputy Governor of Madinah Region, several princes and ministers, members of the Supreme Hajj Committee, leaders of the security and military sectors participating in the Hajj season, and senior officials. — SPA
