MAKKAH — The Ministry of Health has inaugurated a mobile dental clinic for the second consecutive year in the central area around the Grand Mosque in Makkah to provide free health services for the pilgrims during the 2023 Hajj season.

Makkah Healthcare Cluster inaugurated the clinic on behalf of the Ministry of Health in the area facing the entrance to the Al-Haram Emergency Hospital.

The mobile clinics project is being implemented in community partnership with the private sector, represented by the Asen Medical Company.

The project aims to provide dental health services to Hajj pilgrims free of charge to fill the absence of dental services in this area and spare the pilgrims from visiting sites outside the Grand Mosque vicinity for treatment.

The step is in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Health regarding improving healthcare quality, facilitating access to health services, and raising the efficiency of the provision of these services to the Grand Mosque's visitors.

Such steps comply with the keenness of the Kingdom’s wise government to provide comprehensive care to the pilgrims throughout their presence in the holy city.

The mobile clinic provides dental healthcare services through 32 medical and operational specialists equipped with modern capabilities and working around the clock throughout the Hajj season.

The Ministry of Health concluded a partnership with the private sector to provide free quality services to the Grand Mosque visitors.

This partnership came with the support and guidance of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, and with the follow-up of the Minister of Health to provide the best free health services to the pilgrims.

The mobile clinics are part of multiple qualitative initiatives being implemented during the Hajj season this year to provide health services to patients among pilgrims.

The clinics also come within the framework of cooperation and integration with the private sector and the keenness to make optimal use of the capabilities and expertise to provide health services and meet the needs of patients. — SPA
