PARIS —
Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal has signed a three-year contract with Portugal's national player Ruben Neves. He is moving to Al-Hilal from England's Wolverhampton FC.

The signing ceremony of Neves deal took place in Paris, the Riyadh-based club announced on Friday. The Portuguese player's contract extends until the end of 2005/2026 season. He joined the Saudi Club after six seasons at Molineux.

Al-Hilal was represented at the signing by the chairman of the board of directors of Al-Hilal Non-profit Foundation, Fahad bin Nafel.

Ruben Neves may not be the biggest star to join the Saudi Professional League, but his move to Al Hilal is notable because the midfielder is only 26 years old. Until his transfer, only players in the twilight of their careers had moved to the SPL.

The midfielder signed for Wolves from Porto in the summer of 2017.

He became a vital figure in the Wolves side which went from the Championship to Europa League in two seasons and has remained a Premier League club since.

Having settled instantly into English football aged 20, Neves’ stunning goals, including the most special strikes against Derby County, and midfield control saw him named the player of the season by both his supporters and teammates as Wolves stormed to the Championship title.
