RIYADH Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued on Sunday a royal decree appointing Prince Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al-Muqrin as deputy minister of defense with the rank of a minister.

The King issued a number of royal decrees for making some other appointments. In another decree, Deputy Emir of the Northern Border Region Prince Saud bin Abdulrahman was relieved of his position.

Dr. Hisham Al-Sheikh was appointed deputy chairman of the Human Rights Commission while Eng. Ibrahim Al-Mubarak named assistant minister of investment. The appointments also included Khalid Al-Abdulkarim as advisor at the Royal Court; Nizar Al-Aloula, advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers; and Eng. Ali Al-Zahrani governor of the High Commission for Industrial Security.
