June 26, 2023

MINA — The Ministry of Health has alerted pilgrims to the dangers of heat stress during this year's Hajj season 1444 AH, which is seeing a rise in temperatures that pose a threat to the pilgrims' health.

The ministry emphasized that using umbrellas, drinking plenty of fluids, avoiding physical exertion, and following health guidelines can help protect pilgrims from heatstroke or heat stress.

The ministry also announced that the Health Call Center (937) is dedicated to serving pilgrims by addressing their health queries and providing consultations, in addition to handling communications and complaints.

According to the ministry, the call center offers unique services, including searching for missing individuals admitted to healthcare facilities in the holy sites and assisting pilgrims who require medical services. The center promptly processes all communications and complaints from health facilities at the holy sites through its urgent communications service. Additionally, accredited doctors from the ministry provide free medical consultations.

The center operates 24/7 and employs the ministry's staff, who are proficient in multiple languages such as English, Urdu, French, Indonesian, Turkish, and Persian. It offers services through various channels and platforms, including phone communication, Twitter, email, and WhatsApp. Its primary focus is to provide callers with efficient services and ensure quick responses to their questions and inquiries, both within and outside the Kingdom. The call center's mechanism is designed to accommodate a large number of callers, addressing their primary health needs.— SPA
